5. Product Options & Values

fmProductAttributes, fmEditProductOption, fmEditProductOption, fmEditProductOptionValue - Product Options and Values Management


You can find CRE Loaded Products Options & Values Section in Store section.


You can use Main Menu drop-down list to open Options & Values Section as well.

This section allows you to configure your store at the Product options and Values level. It can be used to perform basic operations (add, edit, delete) with CRE Loaded Product Options and Values of all products, other than doing it through some product menu. The main page of this section looks like this:


There Options appear as folders (marked in blue) and Values are listed after expanding an option. Add, Edit and Delete menus include corresponding actions for either option or its value.

Basically, a specific value of some option is an attribute. So this data are used when need to create and edit product attributes.

Product Options

In product Options/Values section you can find some basic operations which you can perform with the help of Product Options/Values toolbar.  

Or you can call actions you need with the help of product option context menu:


Basic operations:

  1. "Refresh data" forces options list to update. It is useful when you're changing connection or have any doubts e.g. whether the latest data were displayed or not.
  2. Add "New product option" button calls blank "Edit product option" form, which is used to create a new option.

    To call this action you can use product option context menu as well.

  3. To edit CRE Loaded product option you may double click on it or press "Edit product option" button using toolbar.

    Or use product option context menu as well.

    It calls Edit product option form for selected product option. You can change CRE Loaded Product Option name here and apply changes by pressing OK button.


    If you have a store running in more than one language you'll be able to see the language tabs in this form to write Option Name in any language available.

  4. You can "Delete selected product option" from store using "Delete" button on the toolbar.

    Or you can use product options context menu.

    By deleting an option you'll delete all it's values as well and remove all references. So if some products have let's say Color option, this option will be removed from all products that includes it.

    You won't be able to undo delete action, unless you've made a Database backup.

  5. You can "Remove option from products" only with the help of context menu.

    This action is similar to the previous one, but while deleting an option from products you will not delete it and it's values from store, but you will remove all references to it in products. So if some products have let's say Black Color attribute, this attribute will be removed from all products.

  6. You can simplify options management by using Expand all or Collapse icons on the the toolbar.

    Or use product option context menu.

Option Values

In product Options/Values section you can find some basic operations which you can perform with the help of Product Options/Values toolbar.

Or you can call all available actions with the help of product option values context menu:

Basic operations: 

  1. "Refresh data" forces option values list to update. It is useful when you're changing connection or have any doubts e.g. whether the latest data were displayed or not.

  2. Add "New option value" button calls blank Edit option value form, which is used to create a new option value. Blank Product Option Value form has two fields: Option Name and Value name. Option name has to be specified (selected in a dropdown). If desired option doesn't exist yet, you'll have to create it first.

    To call this action you can use product option values context menu as well.

  3. To edit CRE Loaded product option value you can double click on it or press "Edit option value" button.

    Or use product option values context menu as well.

    It calls Edit Option Value form for selected product option value. You can select Option name and change Value name here and apply changes by pressing OK button.
